A Day Trip to Bermondsey!

We've completed our first official French and Art Summer Workshops! To celebrate our hard work, we have treated ourselves with a short but sweet visit to our local Ceramics Studio Bermondsey in the The Biscuit Factory. Our host, Leyla Folwell and her lovely studio helper Cloe, have welcomed us into the studio of pottery magic. She was kind to share her knowledge about clay and help us fire our masterpieces. We have learned how to place our dry clay pieces into a kiln, and are looking forward to pick them up soon!

Let's Create a Collage!

Today we have decided to take our workshop outside in the nature and create wonderfully unique collages. Each collage illustrated what we learned in French and how we can learn by being creative!

Painting on Fabric Workshop

In this session we have done painting and reviewed our 'Body Parts' French vocabulary . By painting on fabric, the young artisans worked together to decorate a piece of cloth. Great job!

Jaques a Dit a Dit

Today we learned the French version of Simon Said that is called "Jacques a Dit a Dit..." This gave us an opportunity to play games and review our 'Body Parts' vocabulary. We couldn't spoil there! But continued playing "1,2,3 Soleil". A wonderful game for learning numbers in French.

Pottery Painting Workshop

In this session we painted the pottery we made the day before. We are looking forward to fire it next week at The Ceramics Studio Bermondsey.

T-shirt Painting Workshop

We took advantage of today's workshop to decorate our t-shirts with French words, drawings and stencils.
